If you’re interested in learning where the clothing you buy come from, and how to fight fast fashion, this project is for you. It’s a group trip, so you’ll share the experience alongside other like-minded travelers.
Throughout your time in Cambodia, you’ll have 24/7 support from Projects Abroad. We’ll help you engage with Cambodian life, people, and the culture.
This is what you can expect from our Fast Fashion Project:
- Learn how clothes are made
- Get an insight into how the industry affects people and communities
- Discover the environmental impact of fast fashion
- Visit textile factories and meet with people who work in the industry (NGOs and local manufacturers – silk, clothing- who stand for fair trade and ethical products)
In addition to learning about the fast fashion industry, you’ll take part in must-do tourism activities in Cambodia. After all, no trip to Cambodia is complete without visiting Angkor Wat and the bustling local markets!
Our main goal is to raise awareness on ethical consumerism. We want to give you the information you need to empower yourself to make better choices as a consumer.
By making conscious choices, you can influence industries, fight for human rights, and combat climate change. Choose to spend money on ethical, sustainable products, and slowly but surely, more companies will move in that direction.
We want you to learn about and experience all aspects of the clothing industry in developing countries Cambodia. We strongly encourage you to ask questions, and have discussions within your group. And it shouldn’t stop when your trip to Cambodia ends! When you go home, share your experiences, and continue asking questions.
Be part of long-term, sustainable change, and help the world move toward ethical consumerism.
