Junior Corps

The Junior Corps program welcomes individuals of all ethnicities* between the ages of 21 and 31 who are in search of volunteer or internship opportunities. Volunteers commit to a minimum stay of one month in Armenia and may stay for a maximum of one year, serving 30 hours weekly with one or more of our 1,300+ partner organizations of their choice.  International students studying in Armenia are eligible for a reduced weekly commitment of 20 hours per week, provided they are pursuing full-time studies in Armenia. AVC provides individually customized placements all year long by matching volunteer skills and interests to the needs of our partners, running in a wide variety of sectors such as: business, education, environmental sciences, finance, health, human rights, journalism, PR, government-supported bodies, NGOs, and arts and culture. AVC also provides support services to provide a seamless integration, including airport pickup, host-family living arrangements, Armenian language classes, and much more. In addition, AVC’s weekly gatherings, forums and weekly excursions all across the country enable volunteers to uniquely discover the sights, sounds, and flavors of Armenia.

In addition to volunteer placements, AVC provides all logistical support from airport pick-up, to host-family living arrangements, Armenian language classes, and much more, helping volunteers to seamlessly integrate into life in Armenia.

EventToura is one of the leading companies in event organization in Armenia, contributing to the diversification of Armenia’s tourism. In addition to organizing large scale events for companies, EventToura creates and develops its own projects, such as: Yerevan Wine Days, an event that attracted more than 35,000 visitors in 2023. Additional events include Yerevan Gastro Day, Beard Fest, YerevanMusic Night Yerevan, and Brandy Days.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers often work and connect with international travel agencies, journalists, bloggers, and influencers. They also support with event management related activities during the company’s projects.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers at CIVITTA with the necessary educational and professional background (in economics, business administration or related fields) support tasks related to business, industry, and market research. They also engage in writing, preparing, and/or translating documents and/or reports.

 

FAST FOUNDATION

FAST Foundation is building an ecosystem of innovation to lead scientists, technologists, and innovators in Armenia and beyond to success on the global stage. FAST partners with academic, governmental, and non-governmental organizations alongside global players to explore and create what’s next.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers with technological and business management background are involved in FAST’s ongoing projects.

 

STARTDOON

StartDoon is a business incubator for the Armenian community with the sole purpose of providing opportunities for thriving startups in Armenia by means of professional accompaniment and consultation, networking, investment, and coaching. StartDoon seeks first to identify persevering challenges faced by startups, then offer sustainable solutions, while ensuring growth, partnerships, and investment possibilities, effectively creating a bridge between Armenia and France, thereby allowing for the exchange of experience, skills and knowledge.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers support the StartDoon team by working with startups, forming partnerships, managing the ongoing projects, and creating the new ones.

 

CENTRAL BANK OF ARMENIA

The Central Bank of Armenia is responsible for issuing all banknotes and coins in the country, overseeing and regulating the banking sector, and keeping the government’s currency reserves. The bank is engaged in policies to promote financial inclusion and is a member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: For volunteers interested in a career in banking, the CBA may be the place to gain a foothold in the industry.

 

HERO HOUSE BY SMARTGATEVC

Hero House is an entrepreneurship hub in Armenia that arms companies with path-breaking technological advancements and scalable business models by connecting them with seasoned mentors and serial entrepreneurs.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers at Hero House often assist the team with one or more of the following: analyzing the company’s customer and product development process, designing and conducting customer interviews, applying the learnings into the product development, developing a social media plan and helping with content strategy, and assisting the founders in pitch deck design to name a few.

 

RIVIERA CAPITAL CJSC

Riviera Capital provides advisory services and funding to investors throughout the full investment lifecycle, management advisory services to both established companies and start-ups, and consulting services to public sector entities, IFIs, and NGOs. The upshot of this all is the ongoing economic development of Armenia.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers assist Reviera’s Managing Partner and team in conducting tasks related to the company’s scope of business.

 

AMERIABANK CJSC

Ameria is a leading financial institution in Armenia. Its mission is to improve the quality of life in Armenia through all aspects of finance: providing top-flight financial services and business solutions to customers, implementing business and social projects significantly impacting societal well-being, creating a unique and productive corporate culture, uniting and directing the efforts of successful people, and consistently increasing the value of shares.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: AVC volunteers typically work within the Marketing, Strategy Development * Research, Financial Department, Retail Banking, Human Resources, or IT Departments, supporting in administrative, research, and other tasks. BUSINESS ANGEL NETWORK OF ARMENIA (BANA)

BANA is a network of investors, entrepreneurs, and executives, from Armenia and abroad, interested in investing in start-ups. In addition to capital, the members bring their expertise, experience, and personal contacts to bear on the start-ups they invest in.

Typical Volunteer Tasks: Volunteers support with administrative, marketing, and other tasks. They can also work with some of the startups directly. 

 

TCF Armenia

TCF Armenia is building the strongest product development ecosystem, enabling creators to turn their ideas into successful global brands. At the center of that ecosystem is “The Crowdfunding Formula,” an award-winning digital marketing agency that launches million-dollar crowdfunding campaigns. TCF Armenia’s other projects include a software suite of unique marketing tools, a tech-based media company, a learning platform, and unique social platforms allowing engagement with communities of over 100,000 people on a weekly basis.

Typical Volunteer tasks: Most volunteers support TCF’s SMM needs, focusing mostly on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Forums for the organization’s Armenian projects aimed at the global market.

 

BSC BUSINESS SUPPORT CENTER

BSC (Business Support Center) operates in all major areas of business support and development: strategy, human resource management and leadership, regional industrial development, and corporate social responsibility. BSC’s mission is to be a preferred partner in providing dependable consulting, training, research, project evaluation services, and creative solutions to businesses, NGOs, international organizations, and communities everywhere.

Typical Volunteer tasks: Volunteers support BSC’s projects in helping to develop marketing plans, prepare corporate/organization strategic plans, write business and investment plans, carry out surveys, analyze data, conduct research, organize and delivers trainings, and prepare reports. Blog
